We’ve also had a lot of requests for flyers. Download our WRW2017 flyer here and print it out at home — use it to tell everyone you know about this great event!

Adult 5K (chip-timed) run, with or without dog: $25
Adult 1- or 2-mile walk (not timed), with or without dog: $20

Early Bird Pricing Ends May 31! Register today!
Remember, children 10 and under register for free for the run or walk; however, you must register your child for them to participate in the event.
Adults registered in advance for the run or walk will receive a race t-shirt during packet pick-up (we will post packet pick-up options soon). Children do not receive a shirt with free registration; however, children’s sizes of our WRW2017 shirt are available for purchase during the online registration process. Additional adult shirts and other merchandise are also available for purchase during online registration.
Adults: a shirt in preferred size and cut is not guaranteed with day-of registration; if you really want a shirt (and who doesn’t?!) you should register in advance.
Want to register old-school via snail mail instead of online? No problem. We will be posting a mail-in registration form with waiver for you to download, complete, sign and mail with registration fee. It is very important that you sign the waiver before mailing in your registration. We cannot accept your registration unless the waiver is signed.

We are looking for volunteers to join us now as we plan this year’s event. We have positions open for people with run management experience, but we also have spots open for anyone who wants to make a positive difference for the animals and people in our community — no specific experience needed, only enthusiasm is required!

WE DID IT TOGETHER!
We just want to say another huge thank you to everyone who participated in WRW2016. Whether you were a hard-working volunteer, a walker, a runner, a sponsor, a vendor or just someone who heard the great music, saw all the happy dogs and people and decided to check things out, YOU made a difference. This year was our best-attended and most successful event yet. You helped us raise more than $42,000 to benefit animals in the greatest need throughout the Milwaukee area.
It was wonderful to see so many of our neighbors and their dogs enjoying a perfect Wisconsin summer day, both during the race and walk and afterward at the post-race activities.
A couple reminders for runners:
Official, searchable race results are available here.
If you were one of our top finishers, congratulations…if you didn’t pick up your medal yet, please do so by visiting MADACC, 3839 W. Burnham St., after July 18th.
We hope you will join us at Walk Run Wag 2017 to continue this positive work in our community. Also invited back: the weather! Stay tuned for details in the coming months about WRW2017.
Results are in!
Runners! Looking for your time from the Walk Run Wag 2016 5k yesterday? Go here for searchable results. And whether you ran or walked or just wagged, thank you again to everyone who joined us for a perfect day at Hart Park. You made a difference in the lives of thousands of animals in our community. We hope you had as much fun as we did!
See you next year!
A Paws To Give Thanks…To You!
Walk Run Wag 2016 is in the books, but it would never have happened without your support. Thanks to everyone who showed up on a Saturday morning to participate, to our tireless volunteers, to our dedicated sponsors, to members of our first responder community who assisted and to everyone who contributed to the event. You have helped Milwaukee’s animals in greatest need and we appreciate you.
We will be posting final race results and other event updates as soon as they are available. Thank you!
Today Is The Day! See You At Hart Park!
Well, folks, it’s here! Welcome to Walk Run Wag 2016!
Day-of registration and packet pickup opens at 7:30 a.m. Come to the registration tent in Hart Park to register or, for those who have already registered, to pick up your race packet. The tent is located near the band shell, on the end of the park nearest 68th St.
5k race for runners without dogs starts at 9 a.m.; runners with dogs start soon after. Based on feedback from previous years as well as discussions with the race director and chip timing company, to ensure accurate start times we will have the runners with dogs start their race as soon as the race director feels it is appropriate, so please be prepared.
Walkers, with or without dogs, will start at approximately 9:30 a.m. The safety of our two- and four-legged participants is our top priority. For that reason, the race director will determine when it is appropriate for all walkers, with or without dogs, to start. Our goal is to avoid congestion at all points of the course, particularly the start/finish area. We anticipate walkers will start around 9:30 a.m. but exact start time will be the race director’s call. Walkers will be starting on 70th St. between the entrances to the park’s main and playground parking lots. Walkers, please stay in this area and away from the runners’ start line, which will be marked with a sign, as well as the rest of the course until your start time. We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
Parking options. Construction along State St. has limited street parking as well as reduced access to Hart Park parking lots. We encourage you to park on Honey Creek Parkway east of 70th St. Honey Creek east of 68th St. in particular has plenty of parking.
Route map. Download it here.
Post-race fun. Don’t forget: from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. we will have plenty of activities including lure coursing, agility, vendors, live music, local rescues, adoptables and special surprise guest appearances. Food and beverages will also be for sale, so make a day of it!
Results. We will post a link to the race results here as soon as they are available; please note final results may take 24 hours or more.
Rain or shine, today we walk, we run, we wag. Thank you for joining us and for supporting animals in need!
Packet Pickup Today 3-7 p.m. at MADACC
If you have already registered online or by mail and received your confirmation email, you can pick up your race materials 3-7 p.m. TODAY, Friday July 8, at MADACC, 3839 W. Burnham St.
We recommend you bring a printout of your confirmation (or are able to display it on your phone); very occasionally, especially when one person registers several individuals as part of a team or family, our records do not match your name. Having the confirmation in hand allows us to look up your registration quickly. Please note, timing chips are attached to the race bibs, and only people participating in the 5k race receive bibs. Walkers are not timed and do not receive a bib.
Remember you can still register on site tomorrow before the event, beginning at 7:30 a.m., but you are not guaranteed your preferred shirt.

How Do I Register? When Do I Get My Shirt/Bib? Where Do I Park?!
You’ve got questions and we’ve got answers!
How do I register? While our online and mail-in registration options for WRW 2016 have closed, you can still register in person at Hart Park on Saturday morning, the day of the event, from 7:30-9 a.m. Please note we anticipate long lines and your preferred shirt is not guaranteed.
When do I get my shirt/bib/packet? If you have already registered online or by mail and received your confirmation email, you can pick up your race materials the day before the event, 3-7 p.m. Friday July 8, at MADACC, 3839 W.
Where do I park? Yes, it’s orange barrel season so parking is a little limited to the west of Hart Park, towards Tosa Village. However, there is still ample street parking along Honey Creek Parkway to the east of 70th St., especially from 68th St. east, toward Jacobus Park picnic areas. Due to the event course, you will not be able to park on Honey Creek to the west of 70th St. Access to Hart Park parking lots will also be restricted due to the event setup.
Remember, we’ll have tons of post-race events running until 2 p.m., so plan to make a day of it with your family and friends! Got a question not answered above? Check out our FAQ for additional information, and thanks for your support!
Will We See You on July 9?
A huge thank you to everyone who has registered already for Walk Run Wag 2016. Options for advance registration have now closed, but you can still be a part of this year’s event.

Raceday registration is available 7:30-9 a.m. on-site at Hart Park on Saturday, but please note that your preferred shirt size is not guaranteed. There are typically long lines for registration on the morning of the event, so please plan accordingly.
