Time Is Running Out For Early Bird Registration!
Don’t forget, registration fees go up on June 1! So sign up today to save some cash and ensure you receive an official WRW2017 t-shirt!
Until June 1, it’s still just $25 to register for the 5k run, with or without your dog, or for our popular sleep-in option (you support the animals from the comfort of your bed, we mail you the shirt!) and just $20 to register for the walk.
As of June 1, registration fees go up to $30 for the run or sleep-in option and $25 for the walk.
Other dates to remember: Mail-in registration closes June 30. Online registration closes July 2. And, oh yeah, one more big date: Walk Run Wag 2017 is Saturday, July 8! We hope to see you there!

Walk Run Wag 2017 Is July 8! And WE WANT YOU!
That’s right, folks, mark your calendars: Walk Run Wag is back and will be better than ever in 2017. Join us 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 8 at our previous location in Wauwatosa’s Hart Park.
Registration will be opening in the coming weeks. We’ve heard your feedback (thank you!) and are refining the registration process for individuals, teams and fundraisers, so watch this space for more news about how to sign up and different ways you can participate.
Sponsors! We love your support and look forward to working with you again. We will be posting our new sponsor packet soon.
And hey, are you a previous WRW participant interested in joining our WRW Committee? Or maybe you haven’t been part of WRW in the past but think it would be fun to help organize? (It is!)
We are looking for volunteers to join us now as we plan this year’s event. We have positions open for people with run management experience, but we also have spots open for anyone who wants to make a positive difference for the animals and people in our community — no specific experience needed, only enthusiasm is required!
If you’re interested in joining the WRW Committee, we invite you to attend our next meeting: 6 p.m. Wednesday, February 8 at MADACC, 3839 W. Burnham St., West Milwaukee. If you have questions about volunteering, please feel free to email us at friends@madacc.org with “WRW Volunteer” in the subject line.
We look forward to sharing more exciting news for WRW2017 very soon!
You’ve got two months to get off the couch
Are you inspired by the runners in today’s Boston Marathon to lace on some sneakers and run not just for fitness but also to make a statement?
Okay, maybe running 26.2 miles is a little overly ambitious. Hey, we understand.
But Walk Run Wag is two months from today: that’s enough time to get ready for a 5k. And, whether you walk it or run it, you’ll be showing your support for Milwaukee’s neediest animals and the dedicated staff and volunteers who care for them.
Two months from today, you too could be crossing a very important finish line.
Register today!
